Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I think I took a pretty good "selfie" of myself last night when I hopped into bed.  I did not go on a train or bus or car yesterday.   I didn't even walk out of the house.  I just enjoyed being with my family and friends.  MaryAlice has checked out how the house is doing back home, all is good.  It is a little colder there (by about 20 degrees) and it is snowing well it is almost sleet out there and it is very grey.  The snow is supposed to end soon and I hope all the roads will be good because we are going out for lunch today with Terry.

Having a very quiet morning, James and Sasha are at work, Sasha got called in and James is having his almost last day before retirement from the Tribal police force.  He is looking very very happy.  Myah is still sleeping.  I had a very good sleep and am enjoying just checking everything out, MaryAlice knows this house well, but this is my first time.  I love all the decorations and plants.  James grows orchids and there are a lot of them blooming right now, they are so very pretty.  I will try to take a picture of them today.

We are going to have a good day.  Lunch and maybe a little shopping or maybe not.  Then going to be back at the house and we will probably play some more games.  We played a new game last night, it was about numbers, I don't remember the game but there was a cute board with wooden slats with numbers on them that go up and down - you throw dice, everyone had their own color...I just watched.  It was fun, everyone laughing.  We were all full of Sasha's good spaghetti, it reminded MaryAlice of her Gramma making good spaghetti, and her Mom making good spaghetti, and her own spaghetti and having Sasha's really good spaghetti.   The sauce had bison from the reservation in it, and it was yum yum good.  There was a big salad too.  Before we had spaghetti Shaun brought a HUGE charcuterie board, it had such good stuff on it, everybody dove in immediately.  Shaun and Susan, James and Sasha are good friends and neighbors and they each have 2 kids who are all now grownups and they are the same ages, Myah is the only girl.  Only Luke was missing because he is in Morocco right now, and going to Marrakesh soon, maybe today.

It was a fun night.  Simple joy.  Friends, family, food, games, laughter and memories.  Memories made and memories remembered.  Wonder what ones might happen today.

Hope you all have a good day.  Be kind to yourself, be kind to each other.  Carpe Diem!
