It is a slow moving morning, house errands, reading the paper, made a few calls and now getting ready for my walk and a little visit around my old neighborhood. I have not heard from Appale about my computer yet, hoping I get email today as I will be in the vicinity tomorrow and wouldn’t convenience be nice.
I read a post on FB from my friend Lolly this morning she wrote it after watching The Rachel Maddow show last night, my heart gets so heavy as we continue to witness the breaking down of our fragile democracy. I cannot believe some days that there is not an uprising in congress, that the republicans are so bereft of values and decency needed to stand up to this erosion. I remain hopeful that we will end this absolute disregard for our democratic institutions and move forward as a country in change that includes all. Big breath. Big sigh.
I am meeting friends this afternoon, going to take bus and light rail downtown for Lynx game....I am sure that I will see a better more familiar team tonight. I will be back for the All Star game I. Jul!!!!
I spend a part of each day remembering what I love about Millinocket and Maine as well as savoring my days on this adventure! It is a gift and I am grateful for each part of this journey. I am also excited for my Granddaughter who will graduate a week from today. Last night she was writing her Senior speech for Spectrum class, and I get to read it. She has done all of her AP testing and Friday is her last day of classes. Family members start gathering on Tuesday and we will have a week of celebration, and I will head back home on Saturday morning of next week.
Off to continue my door, stay tuned for post #2 later tonight. I hope there is a W in the win column for my Minnesota Lynx!
