Today was my last Sunday in Minnesota for this trip. Beth was so good, she did errands and came back with "everything bagels" so I go to have bagels, cream cheese and read the New York Times. Like actually holding the NYT in your hands and turning the pages. So I got to read the paper, have a fine cup of tea and eat my toasted bagel. Heavenly!
I got myself together after a long, long shower and then went to my iPad to watch the Lynx - Mystics game. I watch the game on my iPad and listen to the game on my Lynx app -- they are not quite synced up so the MN announcers get to let me know what is happening before I see it on my screen. One can only do this for so long, then you have to decide one or the other. Too bad the Lynx who were up 18 in the 1st, struggled in the 2nd, back in forth in the 3rd and they lost in the end. This is going to be a different year for the Lynx and for us the fans. It is hard being the champion!
I picked up my friend Lolly and her guide dog Jiffy and we went off to "Sassy Spoon" a gluten free restaurant. It was good food, I had homemade Cream Soda made with organic cream and maple syrup. It was yummy and I for sure am going to try to figure out how to make it! After dropping Lolly and Jiffy off it was off to Stillwater.
It was so fun to have a Sunday evening with James and Sasha and some of their friends. The "grands" were out, but somehow they started on mullets and out came the year books and a few pics that were kept inside. Above is the picture when Sasha and James got "together" at YMCA camp, I don't want to go into details. They met in HS and have been together ever since. So you get to see images of the "first" pic and first prom.
It was fun, they showed pics and after a little while I found a few gems.
It was fun listening to the perspective of HS in the 90's and 00's. I laughed a lot and marveled at 30+ years make in one's perspective. We didn't have Genx at home to round it out, but it was good fun none the less.

Haven't had so much conversation about mullets maybe ever! But no doubt James had a good one!
So it is my last Sunday of my very long time away, I am still having fun and still up for more adventures. I am spending the night with the family, who knows what we will discuss tomorrow - more hairstyles, maybe clothes choices, who knows what pictures we might find tomorrow.
It is Sunday. Family Night. Fun time.
