Some things that I am doing now that I have never done or have done very little: I am wearing an eye mask. It is made of silk and very comfortable. The condo has no window coverings and the sun is coming up earlier and earlier, so try an eye mask. It works and I know that I am sleeping a little later than I would without wearing it. It has no accessory value to it, just black silk, it is soft and it does the job. It does have a cute little carrying bag that I use to store it when I am not using the mask.
I have had my nails painted, I have done this a few times, but not often. My nails grow in this kind of climate, so I wanted to try to keep them a little longer so I tried a manicure to help add a protective coat. Not so effective for me, I don't know how to not use and abuse my hands so chips and dings happen, but my nails are longer than usual and we'll see if I trim them all down before I head home, or if I keep them rounded and looking very "manicured".
Abby and I have spent most of the day lounging around in the house, we have had a few spurts of playing out on the "pad" and she was happy to lay on her favorite lounge chair. We are going to have some pool time soon. A good way to move into early evening and bring in the sunset! Abby will stay on the chair and pretend that no one is in the pool, I will float around and get a good cool down!
Today I got my second package of mail, I spent time going through lots of junk and few things that were important for me to read. I went to the post office inside of a Hallmark store. Mailed a birthday present and a few cards.
It was all and all a very non vacation kind of day. Drove to the Valley Oasis, played with Abby. Ate lunch. Took a nap. Read my mail. Washed my clothes.
Got my chores done so I can enjoy my last weekend in Arizona. Tomorrow we are going to Vegan Fest and who knows what other adventures we will find. Sunday I may float around in pool either at the Valley or the Urban Oasis. I have a few things that have to get done before Monday a.m. I have to pack up things that are going to Maine so I can drop off at the post office before I drop off the rental car on Monday morning. I have to make sure that everything fits in my bags! Then make final arrangements for pick up on Thursday and sorting out Luke's Lacrosse schedule. I have a calendar started for time in Minnesota and when I travel to Serafina's....I have started my transition. I am still present and have so loved my time in Arizona, but I am feeling the pull of the next place!
It has been a good week. Great connections, incredible time in the desert, fun walks and not so fun time on the interstate, but I made it safely back to Phoenix!
It is Friday, the Fourth be With You. Abby and I are loving our couch potato time!
