One Proud Graduate

A Happy Cretin Derham Hall 2018 Graduate
In between the 100 degree days and the big time rain storms we got to have the 2018 Cretin Derham Hall Graduation.   We met at the Cathedral mid-afternoon for picture taking, Myah was so gracious and not crabby and just let us all take pictures in all the different family and friend configurations.  The rain held off, we laughed and hugged and after taking way too many  pictures we headed off on foot to The Red Cow for an early supper with the graduate and 10 family and friends.  We had good food and drinks and better conversations and many toasts celebrating Myah and her accomplishments.

After eating I took some of the out of town family for a little walking tour of Summit Avenue, seeing the amazing old houses built in the guilded days of St. Paul.  By the time we got back to the Cathedral, evening Mass had finished and we were able to take our seats.  We got primed seats across and behind Myah's row.  The graduates were seated alphabetically and Myah was #295 out of 305 graduates.   The program moved along quickly,  and finally Myah's row stood for their turn to get their diploma's.  The class cheered and whopped and yelled loudly after the last student received their diploma.

It was a good launching.  Myah's Mom and Dad were very proud, her brother (2 years behind) was jut trying to be very cool and not so involved!  Sasha reminded us that it is possible that we will have a graduation every 2 years for the next six years.  Myah is off at her "lock in" with the classmates.  We will end the celebrations on Friday when her parents through her graduation party on Friday.

This G-MA is tired and proud. Glad to have been a part of the big day.  And happy to soon be off to bed.

It is Wednesday.  In three days I will be home, but I have a little more visiting and a party to go to before I get on the plane!
